Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has finally confirmed the rumours of launching a new SUV in India by releasing an official teaser. Reportedly, two new SUVs are in the lineup for launch by Honda in India - a brand-new compact SUV and a sub-compact SUV that will replace the Honda WR-V. Both of these SUVs are highly anticipated to be built on the enhanced Honda Amaze's platform. The codename of the compact SUV is PF2S, and the sub-compact SUV is codenamed PF2. Two products from Honda that are aimed at the B-segment and C-segment SUV categories are reportedly in the works. While the engineering work of the smaller PF2's design is going on and the design is almost in the final stages, there are currently no known details on the larger PF2S.

The two upcoming Honda SUVs are most likely to get both petrol and hybrid engines. Speculations are going on that the Honda WR-V is highly expected to be replaced by PF2 when it launches in 2023. The upcoming sub-compact SUV will lock horns with the Tata Nexon, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and more whereas the larger SUV by Honda is most likely to replace the Honda BR-V SUV, which has been discontinued and rival with Hyundai Creta, the Kia Seltos, and others.

The all-new and officially teased Honda SUV has reportedly been created at the Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. It has been revealed that the company has followed thorough market research in India on people's shifting lifestyle needs and expectations for their new SUV in terms of design & performance. The officially teased SUV is most likely to enter India during the summer of 2023.
In other news, we informed you that the Honda mid-size SUV codenamed PF2 will be packed with the latest touchscreen infotainment system, two powertrain options, and more. The standard version of the new SUV is expected to cost Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom) whereas the top-end variant is anticipated to be priced at Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom).
