The all-new Honda Accord has been unveiled in the USA.
The all-new Honda Accord has undergone some key changes in terms of the powertrain, interior, and exterior designs. Honda’s all-new Accord will be a successor to its 10th-generation model. The previous model used to boast a 2.0-litre turbo petrol unit but the new Accord will harbour a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder Atkinson Cycle petrol engine that can produce 198bhp and 335Nm of torque and will feature hybrid tech in the Sport-L, Touring, Sport, and EX-L. The base variants, LX and EX, will be non-hybrid and will feature a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, offering 186bhp and 260Nm of torque.
The mid-size sedan will remind you of the 2022 Honda Civic’s design. The interior and exterior of the new Honda Accord reflect similarities with Honda’s new Civic & CR-V models. The new Accord has a wide, hexagonal grille and streamlined headlights reflecting a smoked-out appearance. The front bumper with a wide, central air intake is rather plain and is only differentiated by a silver trim on either end. A chrome accent and rugged beltline surrounding the window line give a peak into the updated look of the latest Accord model. Although 19-inch wheels are an option, the model comes standard with 17-inch dual-tone wheels featuring huge taillamps, LED strips, a tailgate, and a host of others.
The 2023 Honda Accord has got a 10.2-inch instrument, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, over-the-air (OTA) software update, and an array of ADAS features. The chances of Accord making entry into India are extremely less but we expect if anytime it will come to India, then it might be positioned in the same price bracket as the Toyota Camry Hybrid and Skoda Superb.
