The American SUV maker is all set to reveal its full-size SUV worldwide in the coming weeks.
Despite ceasing the sales operation, Ford has kept us engaged with its upcoming plans to be an EV producer – you can read about Ford’s Plan to make India its EV production base by clicking here. We’ve always loved Ford’s ICE cars, which were on sale in India and overseas as well, and one such popular product is the Endeavour, also known as the Everest in markets overseas.
Ford has already teased the new Endeavour on social media, and the SUV has been spied on in the production-ready form abroad. Now, the Blue Oval has gone ahead and officially confirmed that the new generation of the Endeavour will be showcased on March 1.
With the new SUV, expect an all-new chassis based on a new platform. The engines are likely to be downsized, but thanks to the boost technology, the power figures should be more than before. The SUV will likely break cover in petrol, diesel, and hybrid variants; however, not all markets will get the choice of all three powertrains. The suspension and brakes will be all new as well.
Dimensionally, the Ford Endeavour will be larger than before, which means that we can expect improved space management inside the cabin. The dashboard and other cabin elements could also see a design overhaul.
For now, we can speculate that the Ford Endeavour could be sold in India via the CBU route – just the way Ford India retailed the Mustang. If true, then the new Endeavour will be a direct rival to the Jeep Wrangler, which is on sale via the CKD route. Also, we hope that Ford will offer us the (international-spec) twin-turbo variant of Endeavour.
