Skoda releases interior teaser images of its upcoming tarmac scorching seven-seater.
Skoda’s vRS spec Kodiaq made quite the headline earlier this year when a camouflaged version smashed the 12.94 mile Nurburgring lap record for seven-seater SUVs with a tarmac scorching time of 9.29:84 minutes. Building on the hype, Skoda has been dropping teasers leading to the eventual unveil of the car at this year’s Paris Motor Show.
This time around, Skoda has let out three images of the interiors of the car which are limited to the front of the SUV’s cabin. What is evident straightaway is the all-black cabin colour theme, which was of course inevitable. And it has to be said that the cabin does look sporty with a healthy mix of different materials in the form of alcantara and leather inserts on the seats and door pads along with mock carbon fibre inserts on the dashboard and door pads. The red stitching all around meanwhile livens things up and alongside the vRS stitching, give away the car’s intentions. In fact, so do the red lighting inserts on the door pads and that flat-bottomed steering wheel. The unmistakeable vRS sports seats meanwhile further enhance the cabin’s sporty nature.
Under the hood, the Skoda Kodiaq vRS will be powered the 2.0 litre, four cylinder, turbo diesel mill that will be good for 237bhp of max power and 500Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to a DSG gearbox as standard and power will go to all four wheels via a permanent all-wheel drivetrain that will boast dynamic chassis control for optimal power management on all four corners.
Keeping with its theme, expect the exterior of this hot Kodiaq to come with a lot of sporty touches as well as a few vRS badges.
