The RXL variant becomes the new entry-level variant of the Kwid's 1.0L range and is on sale in both MT and AMT versions.
Renault's compact hatchback has recently crossed the 3.5 lakh sales milestone, and to celebrate the occasion, Renault has launched a new entry-level RXL variant for the Kwid's 1.0L range. It's been priced at ₹4.16 lakh for the MT version and ₹4.48 lakh for the EASY-R AMT version, respectively (all figures are ex-showroom). Before this, the RXL variant was exclusively available with the 0.8L motor.
Apart from the addition of the AMT transmission option, the 1.0 RXL variant will offer the same features and fitments as the 0.8 RXL. Key features on the RXL trim include electric power steering, front power windows, remote keyless entry with central locking, and a single DIN stereo system with Bluetooth connectivity.
Sharing his thoughts on the Kwid's sales milestone, Mr Venkatram Mamillapalle (Country CEO and MD, Renault India) said, 'Kwid has been an important contributor to our progress in India. Recently, Renault had launched the much-awaited AMT version of the Triber, and now, it's gearing up to launch a new sub-4m compact SUV based on the Triber, likely to be called the Kiger.
