21 Gun Salute held an international vintage rally and auto show from Delhi’s iconic Red Fort to Gurgaon between February 21-22 to spread the message of ‘Save the Girl Child’.

201 cars and 50 bikes participated in the 5th edition of the rally that included the first Benz car invented by Karl Friedrich Benz, among other vintage cars by Rolls Royce, Ford, Bentley, etc.

The event was flagged off by Chief Guest HH Maharaja Chhatrapati, the 13th Maharaja of Kolhapur in the presence of Dr Lalit K Panwar(Secretary Tourism, Govt of India), Sh KTS Tulsi, (President , HMCI) Nitin Dossa(President, VCCCI), Douglas Fox(Secretary, Malaysia Singapore Vintage Car Register) and Maharana Manavender Singh ji Bahadur of Barwani.

On the occasion of the rally, Mr Madan Mohan, Managing Director and the man behind this idea said: “The 5th edition of Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally has definitely surpassed all the vintage events in the country in terms of the presence of vintage cars from all key states of India and the rarest of the rare vintage jewels one can find here.”

“The vision of the event is to place India at the global tourism map as the most attractive country when it comes to vintage cars and heritage motoring history. It aims at acquainting the youth to the rich heritage and culture of cars in India,’’ he added.

The rally was organised by Heritage Motoring Clubs of India(HMCI) and received international support from Singapore Vintage Club.
