Tata Motors has launched the 2025 iteration of the Nexon in India, with a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model introduces a host of enhancements, including new variants, colour options, and advanced features. Notably, the latest revamp does not include the Nexon EV. The homegrown automaker also rolled out updates for the Tiago hatchback and the Tigor compact sedan. Designed to appeal to modern buyers, the updated Nexon boasts cutting-edge technology, enhanced safety systems, and improved comfort, making it a strong contender in its class. With multiple petrol and diesel powertrain options and various transmission choices, the Nexon caters to a diverse range of preferences and driving needs.
2025 Tata Nexon: What's New?
The 2025 Nexon debuts new exterior colours – Royale Blue and Grassland Beige – while discontinuing Flame Red and Fearless Purple. Other shades like Daytona Grey, Ocean Blue, and Calgary White remain part of the palette.

The key changes also include the return of the Smart trim, now priced at Rs 8 lakh, featuring a fully digital instrument cluster, six airbags, multiple driving modes, and LED lighting. Priced at Rs 8.90 lakh, the Smart+ trim includes added conveniences such as follow-me-home headlamps, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, as well as steering-mounted controls.
At Rs 9.70 lakh, the Pure+ trim raises the bar with a 10.25-inch infotainment display supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an HD rear-view camera, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. Meanwhile, the Creative version, starting at Rs 11 lakh, adds amenities like a push-button start, 360-degree camera, and cruise control.
The top-spec Fearless+ PS variant, retailing for Rs 14.70 lakh, boasts premium features such as a nine-speaker JBL sound system, leatherette upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and ventillated front seats.
2025 Tata Nexon: Dimensions, Powertrain
Coming to the dimensions, the Nexon measures 3,995mm in length, 1,804mm in width, and 1,620mm in height. The wheelbase and boot space stand at 2,498mm and 382 litres, respectively.
The Tata model comes in petrol, diesel, and CNG options. The 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 118bhp of maximum power and 170Nm of peak torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel engine delivers 113bhp and 260Nm of torque. The petrol engine is offered with a choice of four transmission options: a five-speed manual, a six-speed manual, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), and a six-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). Meanwhile, the diesel engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed AMT.
The CNG version is equipped with a 1.2-litre turbocharged bi-fuel unit, producing 99bhp and 170Nm. Available solely with a manual transmission, the Nexon iCNG has a direct start in CNG mode and operates with a single ECU, enabling smooth transitions between petrol and CNG modes.

As far as market competition is concerned, the Nexon has a long list of contenders like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Renault Kiger, Mahindra XUV300, and Nissan Magnite.
