The top-of-the-line Porsche Panamera model has recorded an impressive lap time at the 20.82-km-long Nurburgring circuit in Germany. In this high-performance sedan, Porsche test driver Lars Kern set a record of 7:24.17 minutes, beating the previous model by 5.64 seconds. Several factors are responsible for the enhanced performance, such as the new Carbon Aerokit and the Porsche Active Ride chassis. These improvements guarantee that the vehicle maintains good contact with the road, offering improved body control and cornering.
Commenting on the feat, Kern said, 'The new Porsche Active Ride chassis has made a particularly important contribution. The vehicle always remains parallel to the road. The cornering stability and body stability are at a completely new level. As a driver, this gives me a good feeling and further underlines that our development not only offers comfort during everyday driving but also makes a real difference on the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit. No other Porsche offers such a wide range between comfort and sportiness. The new Panamera combines the positive characteristics of an exclusive sedan with the behaviour of a sports car.'

2025 Porsche Panamera: Expected Powertrain
The carmaker claims that the Panamera is currently the fastest luxury sedan with an ICE or hybrid drivetrain. Although Porsche did not provide specifics, we believe "the new Panamera top model" to be the impending Turbo S E-Hybrid trim. It is anticipated to generate a higher power output than the standard Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid's 661bhp and closer to the mechanically related Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid's 719bhp, most likely from an electrified twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 unit.
The optional Carbon Aerokit reduces lift on the front axle for maximum performance. It produces downforce in conjunction with an adjustable 4-way rear spoiler Gurney flap, further enhancing aerodynamic balance.

2025 Porsche Panamera: Visual Features
On the design front, with a wider front splitter and black trim elements around the taillights and front bumper, the new-gen Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid stands apart from the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid. The pre-production prototype had no camouflage and rolled on 21-inch center-locking rims with 325/30 ZR21 on the back and 275/35 ZR21 on the front covered in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. Porsche claims that a safety roll cage and the driver's race seat are the only differences from the factory vehicle.
