The Mini Cooper JCW E, the John Cooper Works version of the electric Mini Cooper 3-door, is yet to make its global debut. While that will happen at some point in late 2024, we already know the exterior and technical details of the all-electric Cooper JCW, thanks to the MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) listing.
To begin with, the JCW version appears nearly identical to the non-JCW model, save for the new aero-optimised wheels (18-inch) and larger brakes with red callipers. It additionally gets sportier bumpers front and rear, new side skirts, and a roof-mounted spoiler. Blacked-out elements, including a grille in the front, outside rearview mirrors, and pillars, also form part of the mix. Aside from these, the vehicle features JCW badges and a three-dimensional checkered flag. In terms of dimensions, the electric Cooper JCW is 3,863mm long, 1,756mm wide, and 1,458mm tall. It has a 2,526mm-long wheelbase.

Mini Cooper JCW E: Interior, Powertrain
The images of the cabin are not available at the moment, but we expect the Mini Cooper JCW E to get the JCW badging on the inside too. Under the hood, the electric Cooper JCW uses a 255bhp front axle-mounted electric motor, an increase of 40bhp over what is available with the Cooper SE. The battery size is under wraps; expect it to be equipped with a 49.2kWh (usable capacity) battery pack, which also powers the Cooper SE. In the Cooper SE, the battery yields a range of 401km (WLTP) on a single charge.
However, considering its front axle-mounted electric motor, the Cooper JCW E's range will likely be lower than that of the Cooper SE. The extra performance of the Cooper JCW E should make it about half a second quicker than the Cooper SE, which goes from a halt to 100km/h in 6.7 seconds. The Cooper JCW E is said to have a top speed of 200km/h.
Mini Aceman JCW E: Specifications
The Mini Aceman JCW E, revealed alongside the Cooper JCW E, is a five-door vehicle with the same 255bhp motor. Unlike the electric Cooper JCW, the Aceman JCE rolls on larger 19-inch wheels. It measures 4,094mm in length, 1,754mm in width, and 1,515mm in height. Its wheelbase stands at 2,606mm.
