BYD has launched the 2025 iteration of the Seal in India, with a range of updates, including a powered sunshade for the sunroof now offered as standard. The base Dynamic (RWD) variant continues to be priced at Rs 41 lakh, while the Premium (RWD) and Performance (AWD) variants have seen a price hike of Rs 15,000, now priced at Rs 45.70 lakh and Rs 53.15 lakh, respectively. Bookings for the updated electric sedan opened in March 2025 with a token amount of Rs 1.25 lakh. The 2025 BYD Seal boasts notable improvements across all variants. Here’s a detailed overview of all new features.
The 2025 model is equipped with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) low-voltage battery that’s six times lighter, offers five times lower self-discharge, and delivers an impressive lifespan of up to 15 years. It also has a new silver-plated dimming canopy, an air conditioning system with a larger compressor, and a new air purification module. Other highlights include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Performance variant of the sedan exclusively features the new Disus-C system. This intelligent damping system enhances stability and comfort by making real-time damper adjustments based on numerous inputs. It improves ride comfort by softening the suspension on rough roads and enhances handling by stiffening it during dynamic driving situations.
On the other hand, the Premium model now comes equipped with Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD), earlier exclusive to the Performance variant. This feature enhances the driving experience by allowing the suspension to dynamically adjust to different road conditions, delivering an improved balance of comfort and handling.
The Seal EV offers two battery options: 61.4kWh for the Dynamic version and 82.5kWh for the Premium and Performance models. The Dynamic model (RWD) produces 201bhp and 310Nm, with a range of 510 kilometres. The Premium version (RWD) produces 308bhp and 360Nm, and has a longer range of 650 kilometres.
