With many of the same improvements that the 2025 M4 recently received, BMW has unveiled the redesigned M3 for the 2025 model year. The most notable of these updates is a power increase for the Competition model with M xDrive AWD. The 3.0-litre straight-six turbocharged engine, known as the S58B30T0, now produces 649Nm of torque at 5,730rpm and 516bhp at 6,250rpm. 2025 BMW M3 Competition xDrive: Exterior Design
With new headlights that resemble the latest M4's geometric LED elements for the turn signals and daytime running lights, the cosmetic modifications are minor. Additionally, new silver-colored forged alloy wheel options are available. Competition models get a silver border around their badge.
A rear diffuser, mirror covers, a rear spoiler, and inlays for the front air intake are among the carbon fibre-reinforced plastic parts that come with the M Carbon Exterior Package. It also consists of carbon fibre trim, an Alcantara steering wheel, a set of M Carbon bucket seats, and carbon ceramic brakes.

2025 BMW M3 Competition xDrive: Mechanical Tweaks
Everything that sets the M3 apart in its segment is still present under the hood, including the 3.0-litre straight-six turbocharged engine. The standard model can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds with a 466.5bhp engine and a six-speed manual transmission. With the M3 Competition, you can go from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds thanks to an eight-speed automatic gearbox that pumps 496bhp to the rear wheels.
The top-of-the-line BMW M3 Competition with xDrive, also known as all-wheel drive, has gained 20bhp, enabling it to generate 516bhp of maximum power at 6,250rpm. The peak torque stands at 649Nm at 5,730rpm. It only takes 3.4 seconds for this variant to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h.

The interior of the M3 is equipped with a redesigned three-spoke leather steering wheel, which retains its red centre marker but now has a flat-bottomed rim. Additionally, drivers can opt for Alcantara instead of leather. Moreover, BMW's new operating system, which features a streamlined temperature control interface, now runs on a curved display. The climate settings are configurable by the enhanced voice assistant, and the air vents have been adjusted.

2025 BMW M3 Competition xDrive: Production Timeline and Price
The 2025 BMW M3 will go into production in July. The RWD model currently has a starting price of USD 77,175 (about Rs 64.31 lakh) while the Competition variant will cost USD 81,375 (around Rs 67.80 lakh). If you choose the AWD Competition xDrive, the cost goes up to USD 86,475 (about Rs 72.05 lakh).
