For all the electric vehicle fans, we've curated a list of the top 5 EVs expected to make their debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, formerly previewed by the eVX concept, will be one of the major attractions at the Bharat Mobility Expo, marking the brand’s exciting entry into the electric vehicle space. Staying true to its global counterpart, the e Vitara is expected to have sharp headlights with Y-shaped LED light signatures, squared-off wheel arches, sculpted rear haunches, and a sleek sloping roofline. Other notable design features could include robust body cladding, 19-inch blacked-out alloy wheels, sturdy bumpers, C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, and linked LED taillights with a three-piece design.

While it's still unclear how Maruti Suzuki will configure the e Vitara for India, the electric SUV offers two battery options – a 49kWh pack (for two-wheel drive) and a 61kWh pack (available with both two-wheel and four-wheel drive) for the international market. It is expected to deliver a range of up to 600 kilometres on a single charge. Price-wise, the first-ever Maruti Suzuki EV could range between Rs 22 lakh–25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai Creta EV

Hyundai Creta EV

Hyundai is all set to unveil the electric Creta on January 17 at the Bharat Mobility Expo. In terms of design, the electric version will set itself apart with sleek, aerodynamic 17-inch alloy wheels, a closed grille, and reworked bumpers. The twin-screen design found in the traditional model will be retained within the electric Creta, but it will have improved features, software, and perhaps more user-friendly technology for a better overall experience.

Although Hyundai has not yet formally disclosed the electric Creta's complete technical specifications, market reports suggest that the EV will likely include a front-mounted electric motor and a 45kWh battery pack. This configuration could deliver a balanced performance with about 136bhp and 255Nm. The electric Creta may also possess fast-charging capabilities, which will boost its practicality and convenience for everyday use. The EV could fetch somewhere between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).

Other design highlights include optional camera-based ORVMs, silver roof rails, flush door handles, and vertically positioned taillights with pixel LED bits.

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 features a powerful 110.3kWh battery and is available in two distinct variants: Long-Range and Performance. In the RWD Long-Range model, a 215bhp, 350Nm motor at the rear delivers a 0-100 km/h time of 9.4 seconds and accelerates from 80-120 km/h in 6.8 seconds. The AWD Long-Range adds a second 94bhp front motor, cutting the 0-100 km/h time to 6.7 seconds and boosting the 80-120 km/h sprint to 4.8 seconds.

The performance-focused AWD variant boasts 215bhp motors on both axles, reaching 0-100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds and completing the 80-120 km/h sprint in an impressive 3.4 seconds. Although an official launch date for the Indian market is not confirmed yet, the EV is anticipated to be priced at around Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom).
