This year, the Indian Army added the Toyota Hilux, one of the most popular pick-up trucks, to its fleet. The Hilux pick-up truck is popular not just in our market, but also around the world. For the European market, Toyota recently unveiled the GR Sport II, a new and bold version of the Hilux. It is worth mentioning that the second generation of this GR Sport version has been unveiled for Europe, and there is no word on when it will be available in our market. It has come on the international market with several aesthetic and mechanical upgrades. However, like its predecessor, this variation is only a double-cab version. The Hilux GR Sport II receives an all-new black G-mesh front grille, 17-inch lightweight wheels covered in all-terrain tyres, an enhanced approach angle, and increased ground clearance as part of the changes. Although Toyota has not revealed pricing for the Toyota Hilux GR Sport II, the model is expected to arrive in specific European regions in 2024. Let's take a look at other specifics of the model.

2024 Toyota Hilux GR Sport II: New Technical Details

According to Toyota, the Hilux GR Sport II will offer a potent combination of improved handling and stability, as well as best-in-class towing and payload capacities of 3,500 kg and 1,000 kg, respectively. In comparison to the conventional Toyota Hilux, the lateral distance between the wheels has been extended by 140mm in the front and 155mm in the rear. This will lead to a more confident ride, particularly in poor weather or driving circumstances, claims Toyota.

Other significant technical changes encompass a raised approach angle from 29 degrees to 30 degrees, more ground clearance by 20mm, lightweight 17-inch wheels, and optimum front and rear suspension balance. Toyota has extended the front discs from 16-inch to 17-inch and placed the new 15-inch discs on the rear.
