Wraps will come off the new Subaru Impreza on November 17.
Subaru has officially announced that the new 2024 Subaru Impreza will be unveiled at the LA Auto Show this year. A teaser shot of the upcoming model has also been released by the manufacturer, which shows very little of the vehicle. It is anticipated that the firm will unveil the new model on November 17.
The teaser image confirms that Subaru will continue to build the next Impreza as a hatchback. We expect it to resemble the recently unveiled 2024 Crosstrek in terms of design. It will be supported by Subaru's Global Platform, which serves as the foundation for every model the company offers, except the BRZ and Solterra, which are underpinned by EV platforms created by Toyota.
The hood and A-pillar of the blue Impreza are some of the only visible parts that resemble those on the current model. The image also reveals a small roof spoiler protruding over the hatch glass. Although there is no interior teaser image, the car is likely to feature a digital driver's display, a new infotainment screen, a redesigned dash, and other modern creature comforts. Additionally, it would come loaded with safety features such as Subaru's EyeSight System.
The next-gen Impreza should come standard with all-wheel drive, but it is not sure if Subaru will make any significant changes to the engine. A 2.0-litre boxer four-cylinder engine, generating 150bhp and 196Nm of torque, is housed under the hood of the existing model of the car, so expect the new version to feature the same. More details regarding the output and powertrain of the upcoming Impreza will be revealed at LA Auto Show this month.
