Land Rover has recently pulled the wraps off the Range Rover Sport SV for international markets. It is the performance-oriented version of the Range Rover Sport SUV and replaces the older Range Rover Sport SVR. Land Rover will sell the SUV as an invitation-only Edition One unit to select customers, during the first year of production. The new Sport SV is equipped with a new 6D suspension system featuring hydraulic interlinked dampers, height-adjustable air springs, and pitch control.

In terms of styling, the 2024 Sport SV gets a revamped front end for increased airflow, including a new front bumper. A key highlight of the new Range Rover Sport SV is its 23-inch carbon-fiber alloy wheels, making it the only production car in the world to feature 23-inch carbon-fibre wheels. Combined with optional carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes and a carbon-fibre bonnet, these components together shed the SUV's weight by up to 76 kilograms. This results not only in enhanced performance but also improved fuel efficiency.
2024 Range Rover Sport SV: Interior, Features
On the inside, the Sport SV remains almost identical to the regular Range Rover Sport, with the exception of new features. The vehicle features carbon fibre-backed performance seats with integrated headrests and illuminated SV logos. Plus, the front seats are claimed to have built-in transducers, generating audio vibrations to 'create an immersive in-car audio' experience. This works in tandem with a 29-speaker, 1430-watt Meridian sound system. On offer are also a 13.1-inch floating glass display with the console gear shifter and gear shift paddles behind a steering wheel.
2024 Range Rover Sport SV: Powertrain & Performance
Under the hood, the 2024 Range Rover Sport SV receives a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine with BMW-sourced mild-hybrid technology. This helps the Sport SV pump out 626bhp of maximum power and 750Nm of peak torque - 59bhp and 50Nm more than the previous generation Range Rover Sport SVR. When Dynamic Launch Mode is engaged, the torque figure is rated at 800Nm. The gearbox is an 8-speed automatic unit.
