Nissan Motor India has shared a new teaser for the X-Trail premium SUV, expected to go on sale soon. We anticipate the market launch to take place next month. The model is not a completely new product, as it was previously sold in India from 2005 until 2014. Notably, the car will arrive on our shores via the CBU route, therefore, its price will probably be higher than its primary rivals.

The most recent teaser gives a sneak peek into design elements such as the dual-tone alloy wheels, a large trapezoidal chromed-out V-motion front grille section, LED daytime running lights, a bumper with C-shaped cutouts, wraparound tail lamps with LED signatures, and slim LED headlamps in the lower part of the split cluster. Upon launch, the new X-Trail will compete with the next-gen Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan, and the Jeep Meridian. Here's all you need to know about the upcoming Nissan offering.

2024 Nissan X-Trail: Platform and Dimensions

The new-gen Nissan X-Trail was unveiled in India in 2022. The SUV has been spotted testing in the country several times in recent months and will be based on the CMF-C platform, also used by the Mitsubishi Outlander. For the uninitiated, Nissan has jointly developed this platform with Renault. The India-bound X-Trail could be available in both five and seven-seat configurations.

In terms of dimensions, the X-Trail is 4,680mm long, 1,840mm wide, and 1,725mm tall. The wheelbase stands at 2,705mm.
