2024 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance Marks Global Debut with Design Updates

The 2024 version of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance comes with a host of updates, including an improved front profile, new exterior paint, and more. However, the sedan retains the same 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Mercedes-AMG has introduced a refreshed GT 63 S E Performance version for the international market. The performance division of the German carmaker has given the four-door coupe sedan some cosmetic changes, including vertical slots for outboard intakes, a giant air dam, and multibeam LED headlamps. Furthermore, the sedan is now available in Opalite White Metallic paint. The interior has been updated with a standard motorised sunroof and a rear wireless charging pad. The model has not been modified under the skin as it retains the 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain with 831bhp and 1400Nm. 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance: Powertrain

The mechanical specifications for the 2024 model remain unaltered. The same 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged, V8 plug-in hybrid drivetrain powers the fast four-door coupe car. This combination is compatible with the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G 9-speed transmission and the AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system. The sedan claims a top speed of 315km/h and an acceleration time of 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds.

As previously mentioned, the facelift has resulted in significant cosmetic alterations. As a result, the updated model gets a new front profile, an exterior paint choice, and a few other modifications. Specifically, the face of the 2024 GT 63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe incorporates aesthetic ideas from the new AMG GT Coupe. The car now sports a larger air dam, multibeam LED headlights, and outboard intake vertical slits. The inside has also been slightly revised by the luxury brand. The electric sunroof and rear wireless charging pad are now standard features. The MBUX infotainment system software has been updated with AMG-specific displays and customisable functionality. A Burmester Surround Sound System is also standard, however, purchasers who seek a more enhanced experience can upgrade to the Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System.

The starting price of the updated sedan is €207,708.55, including VAT (approximately Rs 1.82 crore). AMG Performance seats, two AMG Night packages, an AMG Aerodynamics package, an AMG Carbon package, and an AMG Chrome package are among several optional packages for prospective clients. In addition, the Active Multicontour Seat package and the Manufaktur Selenite Grey Magno paint are offered.
