The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is available in four trims – LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+ – with prices beginning at Rs 6.79 lakh and reaching up to Rs 10.14 lakh for the highest variant. These introductory prices are valid until December 31. Maruti Suzuki also offers a subscription plan starting at Rs 18,248/month, covering registration, insurance, maintenance, and roadside assistance for added convenience. The sedan continues to provide both petrol and CNG engine options.

On the other hand, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno carries a price tag ranging from Rs 6.66 lakh to Rs 9.84 lakh. It can be had in Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha variants and offers both petrol and CNG options. All prices listed are ex-showroom.

Coming to the dimensions, the new Dzire measures 3,995mm in length, 1,735mm in width, and 1,525mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,450mm and ground clearance of 163mm.

In comparison, the Baleno hatchback has a length of 3,990mm, a width of 1,745mm, and a height of 1,500mm. Furthermore, it boasts a slightly higher ground clearance of 170mm, while the wheelbase stands at 2,520mm.

The 2024 Dzire and Baleno both offer a similar engine lineup but with some differences in performance and transmission options. The compact sedan is driven by a 1.2-litre, Z-Series petrol engine producing around 80bhp and 113Nm of torque. This engine is available with a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed AMT. There is also a CNG variant on offer, which delivers 69bhp and 102Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.

The Baleno houses a 1.2-litre petrol mill producing 82bhp and 113Nm of torque. However, it offers a five-speed manual transmission and a CVT as an option. Like the Dzire, the hatchback is also available with a CNG option, developing 76bhp and 98.5Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.

While both cars share the same engine options for petrol and CNG variants, the key difference lies in the transmission choices, with the Baleno offering a CVT option, while the Dzire has an AMT option.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Interior

Moving to the cabin, the interior of the new Dzire draws inspiration from the latest Swift but includes unique updates. It features a dual-tone dashboard with wood-finish accents. Key highlights include a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Arkamys surround sound, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, cruise control, an electric sunroof, rear AC vents, a rear armrest, and Suzuki Connect. On the safety front, the sedan is equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, brake assist, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. A rear defogger is also included as standard.

The Baleno is equipped with an extensive array of features as well, such as a heads-up display, cruise control, automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, and keyless entry. It also has a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, along with an Arkamys sound system featuring four speakers and two tweeters. In terms of safety, the hatchback has similar features, including up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program (ESP), ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, hill-hold assist, and three-point seatbelts for all occupants.
