Soon after revealing the launch date of the upcoming Creta N Line for India, Hyundai has taken the wraps off the updated version of the i20 N Line in the international market. Introduced in our market in 2021, the Hyundai i20 N Line has had updates over the years. It now gets a 6-speed manual gearbox instead, among a list of other updates.
2024 Hyundai i20 N Line: Exterior
For the model year 2024, the Korean manufacturer has brought in the international-spec i20 N Line facelift with minimal styling updates. Being a sportier variant, the changes include a revised front grille with 'N' badging, sporty bumpers, and N Line-specific red accents and side skirts. The exterior highlights also include newly designed 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, twin exhaust pipes finished in chrome, and four new colour options – Lucid Lime Metallic, Lumen Grey Pearl, Meta Blue Pearl, and Vibrant Blue Pearl.
2024 Hyundai i20 N Line: Interior
On the inside, the cabin of the facelifted i20 N Line is all black with red accents, similar to the India-spec Hyundai i20 N Line facelift. The feature list of the 2024 iteration remains almost the same as before, with the car offering the N-spec three-spoke steering wheel with red stitching, gearshift lever, sports seats, and aluminium sports pedals. However, this time, the carmaker has introduced the multi-colour ambient lighting. Other bits are a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, a wireless phone charger, a Bose audio system, a single-pane sunroof, and more.
Safety-wise, the car gets six airbags, disc brakes, ESC, hill-hold assist, a tyre pressure monitor (TPMS), and a reversing camera with rear parking sensors.
2024 Hyundai i20 N Line: Powertrain
While the company is yet to disclose the powertrain specifications, we expect the 2024 Hyundai i20 N Line to come powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This engine is capable of belting out 118bhp and 172Nm of peak torque.
The 2024 Hyundai i20 N Line will not likely make its way to the Indian market as the facelifted version of the i20 N Line was launched in September last year. Available in two variants (N6 and N8) in India, the model has a starting price of Rs 10 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.52 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom.
Hyundai Creta N Line India Launch on March 11
Hyundai will launch the Creta N Line in India on March 11, 2024. Subsequently, the sportier variant will join the Creta facelift in the lineup. This will be the third N Line model from the Korean brand in the country after the i20 N Line (2021) and the Venue N Line (2022). The bookings are expected to commence by the end of February.
