At the outgoing 2023 Shanghai Auto Show in China, Hyundai has revealed their 2024 Elantra N for international markets, ahead of its global launch. The updated sedan is the third model from Hyundai's N division. The Elantra N is the full-fledged sporty version of the Elantra. After its debut in the Korean market, it will be unveiled in the American market by the end of this year, if we believe some reports. The new performance sedan could lock horns with the Honda Civic Si and the Volkswagen Jetta GLI, once launched. As far as India is concerned, we have no official word from Hyundai India about its launch. Speaking of its exterior, the 2024 Elantra N gets an N-specific body kit all around, highlighted in red. The company is likely to equip it with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that could put out 286bhp of maximum power and 392Nm of peak torque.
2024 Hyundai Elantra N: Exterior
The 2024 Elantra N comes with multiple cuts, side creases, edgy character lines, and other design elements. In the new version, the Hyundai Elantra N comes with a revised front fascia with a Parametric grille, and angular grille inserts, flanked by sleek LED headlamps with split-style DRLs. In addition to this, the new front bumper gets large central air intake and red highlights on the lip to highlight the sedan's sporty character. The usage of red inserts is also evident in the car's side skirts and rear bumper. Moreover, it sports a sloping roofline and a raked front windshield.

The sedan now sits on a set of new 19-inch alloy wheels with N badging, with flared wheel arches. At the rear, the Elantra N has H-shaped connecting LED taillights, a black spoiler on the sculpted boot lid, and dual exhaust pipes.
2024 Hyundai Elantra N: Powertrain & Performance
Engine specifications and power figures for the 2024 Hyundai Elantra N are still under wraps. But, we expect the vehicle to come equipped with a 2.0-litre, inline, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine linked to either a 6-speed manual gearbox that comes as standard or an optional 8-speed DCT gearbox sending power to front wheels. The 2.0-litre engine is good enough to produce 286bhp of maximum power and 392Nm of peak torque.
With these power and torque figures, the 2024 Elantra N can catapult from a standstill to 100km/h in 5.3 seconds. It gets a claimed top speed of around 250km/h.

2024 Hyundai Elantra N: Interior & Features
On the inside, the 2024 Elantra N is anticipated to feature a minimalist dashboard design with red inserts. Red elements are also likely around AC vents and door trims. Furthermore, bucket-type seats could be offered with contrast stitching in red. Apart from that, it is likely to carry an electric sunroof, a leather-draped steering wheel with paddle shifters, dual-zone climate control, an air purifier, a wireless charger, and a twin-display setup for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster.
As far as safety goes, the new Elantra N could be armed with a forward-facing camera and a 'SmartSense' safety suite that includes Level 2 ADAS technology like adaptive cruise control, forward collision-avoidance assist, collision-avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, and so on.
