Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is preparing to launch a revamped iteration of its popular Creta SUV for our domestic market. This would be the first facelift for the second-gen Creta, which has been on sale in India since 2020. As the excitement grows, the carmaker continues to test the compact SUV, which is also India's best-selling SUV in its class as of now. In the latest development regarding the same, a few spy shots of the heavily camouflaged model have surfaced online, providing auto enthusiasts with a more comprehensive look at the forthcoming Creta, before its anticipated launch in early 2024. These spy photographs provide insights into the Creta's exterior highlights and the interior layout.

2024 Hyundai Creta: Exterior Details

Specific to the Indian market, the upcoming Creta sports new design elements. There is a new set of headlights and LED DRLs that are boxier than the ones that came before. The slatted grille appears to have more gaping inserts, giving it a more sturdy appearance. Like the Exter sub-compact SUV, it has a revised bumper and redesigned tailgate. In addition, the all-new Creta will come with split-unit vertical headlamps with a cube-shaped design.

While spy photos reveal that the alloy wheel layout is comparable to the existing Creta, there are further claims of Creta facelift test mules with bigger 18-inch wheels derived from the Alcazar. However, the profile generally stays the same.

2024 Hyundai Creta: Interior

Due to its camouflage, the revamped Creta's dashboard was not apparent in the spy shots, but we can discern that it has a variety of new functions. A 360-degree camera, type-C charging ports for the backseat passengers, and a range of ADAS technologies (as implied from the ADAS radar present on the front bumper) will all be included. The 10.25-inch digital driver's screen from the Kia Seltos is also available for the top-end models. Additionally, it will keep the Creta's present features, such as an 8-way power adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, automated climate control, and wireless phone charging. Besides this, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), and six airbags will still be present for the safety of the passengers.

2024 Hyundai Creta: Expected Powertrain Options

The Creta will eventually get the new 1.5-litre, 160bhp turbo-petrol engine with this updated version. The Kia Seltos, the Hyundai Alcazar, the Hyundai Verna, and the Kia Carens all run on the same engine. Furthermore, both a manual transmission and a seven-speed DCT transmission are anticipated as gearbox options. The two other available engines include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol unit and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, both of which churn out 115bhp.
