Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the E-Class long wheelbase (LWB) at the 18th edition of Auto China 2024, which is currently underway at the China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing. The premium carmaker has introduced the model with Level 2+ ADAS and 10 additional exclusive luxury features for the Chinese market. The 2025 E-Class long wheelbase is the successor to the 10th-generation model and has been displayed in two versions: Saloon and Sports Saloon. Coming to the dimensions, it measures 5,092mm in length, 1,880mm in width, and 1493 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 3,094mm, 133mm longer than the standard model and 15mm longer than the previous-gen E-Class LWB. Besides this, the new CLA concept and the G 580 are also on display at the event. The latter is an electrified version of the G-Wagon with EQ technology.

2025 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB: Appearance
In terms of design, the E-Class LWB is comparable to the standard model except for an extended rear door and a quarter glass positioned behind the rear door as opposed to being a part of it together with the rear window. In addition, it has a revised front bumper with large air intakes, a wide grille, and sharp headlamps. Moving to the back, you'll see exterior features like multi-spoke alloy wheels, a reworked rear bumper, and stylish LED taillights.
2025 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB: Interior and Safety Features
The firm has revamped the interior of the E-Class to incorporate cutting-edge features and technology. Inside, there's a new tri-screen dashboard with a third-generation MBUX system that comprises an integrated 14.4-inch infotainment system, a 12.3-inch independent digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch passenger display. It further comes equipped with a 730-watt 21-speaker Burmester 40 surround sound system with Dolby Atmos, voice assistant, wireless charging, adjustable rear seats, 360-degree active ambient lighting, and rear neck rests with heating capabilities.
Additionally, Mercedes-Benz has included Al in this vehicle, which uses its ability to recognise user routines and comfort preferences to automate settings for the user. With the addition of Level 2+ ADAS capabilities like Automatic Lane Change Assist (ALC), which is based on the SAE Level 2 standard and was developed in China, Mercedes-Benz has further increased the safety of this vehicle while also giving it a more futuristic appearance.

2025 Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB: Powertrain
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB 2024 will be available with a six-cylinder petrol engine in China, but the 350d six-cylinder diesel is anticipated to be the main engine option in India. The carmaker will also offer a four-cylinder petrol engine, and lower-end models will have a four-cylinder diesel engine as well. Air suspension and a rear-wheel steering system that can rotate the rear wheels up to 4.5 degrees are additional highlights of the E-Class LWB. The 2025 model is expected to make its way to the Indian market in the latter part of 2024.
