The Indian arm of the German carmaker has redesigned the Volkswagen Tiguan for the Indian market. It gets BS6 2 RDE-compliant engine and updated features for 2023. With a tweaked engine and feature list, the prices of the SUV have gone high by Rs 50,000. In India, the revamped version of the Tiguan now costs Rs 34.69 lakh (ex-showroom). According to Volkswagen India, customers will now experience an exquisite combination of elegance, performance, premium-ness, safety, and class-leading features, by opting for the revised model. Outside, the Volkswagen Tiguan SUV continues to have a muscular and sturdy appearance. Its styling is the same as the previous version. However, modifications have been made to the exterior paint options. The updated SUV no longer has King's Red and Pure White as its shades. Instead, Nightshade Blue, Oryx White, Dolphin Grey, Deep Black, and Reflex Silver are now available as exterior paint schemes. 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan: Safety
In this revised Tiguan, a level 1 ADAS-based auto park feature and a rear seat belt reminder function have been added. By using the level 1 ADAS-based auto park feature, users will now be able to avoid the difficulty of parallel parking by picking a good parking space and moving the pedals while the automobile guides itself into that area. The other safety features of the SUV include hill descent control, six airbags, ABS, ESC, anti-slip regulation, hill start aid, engine drag torque management, TPMS, three-point seat belts, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and driver alert systems.
2023 Volkswagen Tiguan: Enhanced Fuel Efficiency
According to Volkswagen India, the ARAI-certified mileage has been boosted by 7% to 13.54km/l because of the switch to BS6 2.0. Mechanically speaking, the flagship SUV, is driven by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which offers 187bhp and 320Nm. Mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox as standard, this unit now complies with the stricter RDE norms.
2023 Volkswagen Tiguan: Paint Scheme
As mentioned, the SUV is not available in King's Red and Pure White exterior shades. The 2023 model will now be offered in Nightshade Blue, Oryx White, Dolphin Grey, Deep Black, and Reflex Silver paint options.
Inside, the revised Volkswagen Tiguan gets a new paint for the cabin in the form of dual-tone storm grey. Additionally, a new feature - a wireless charger, has also been included in the SUV.

2023 Volkswagen Tiguan: Price & Rivals
The Tiguan in its revamped avatar costs Rs 50,000 more than the outgoing version. It retails in our market at Rs 34.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is offered in a single variant: Elegance and locks horns with the Toyota Fortuner, the Skoda Kodiaq, the MG Gloster, and more in the Indian market.
