Combining Toyota's electrification technology with BYD's lithium-ion LFP battery, the bZ3's electrification system claims a maximum cruising range of more than 600 kilometres.
The brand-new bZ3, the second model in Toyota's bZ series, has been officially unveiled. The EV has been developed by BYD Toyota EV Technology, a joint venture firm established by FAW Toyota, BYD, and Toyota. BYD provides the bZ3 with batteries and other essential EV technology. Toyota's bZ series is among the high-quality new energy products that are principally produced by FAW Toyota.
Combining Toyota's electrification technology with BYD's lithium-ion LFP battery, the electrification system claims a maximum cruising range of more than 600 kilometres. This car's electrification system has been completely redesigned to be more effective, safe, and reliable. This includes the battery structure, cooling system, control system, and safety monitoring system. Additionally, Toyota has made use of its electrification expertise to minimise battery deterioration, with the development objective of guaranteeing 90% capacity even after ten years.
The Family Lounge concept served as the basis for the design of the Toyota bZ3. The car combines a long wheelbase from a BEV-specific package with a spacious interior from a fastback to create the hammerhead shark-like design format of the Toyota bZ series. The electric vehicle not only has a large wheelbase but also soft bumper corners that promote smooth airflow. Air resistance is decreased by the flat doors and the design of the rear bumper. The Cd value of the electric car is 0.218.
A digital island system that blends a huge vertical centre display with a tray-style console is another interior characteristic. Along with wireless charging, it incorporates features for linking smartphones and multimedia. The large display also includes controls for the trunk release, music, air conditioning, and other features. The firm currently intends to manufacture and sell the electric vehicle in China.
