The GLS SUV lineup has received a mid-life update from Mercedes-Benz, which includes minor interior and exterior styling changes as well as better equipment and software. For the powertrain options, the luxury auto manufacturer offers four different engine units: 3.0-litre petrol straight six with 380bhp (for the GLS 450), a 4.0-litre gasoline V8 with 517bhp (for the GLS 580), and a 3.0-litre diesel straight six with 312bhp (for the GLS 350d), and 367bhp (for the GLS 450d). The Maybach SUV comes with a 557bhp "600" petrol V8, while the AMG GLS 63 version includes a mild-hybrid engine with 633bhp of maximum power. 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS: Exterior Changes
Speaking of the exterior revisions, the four horizontal louvres in the grille of the standard Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV have been given a Silver Shadow finish. High-gloss black surrounds for the air inlet grilles are included with the front bumper. Further, three horizontal block patterns added to the taillights at the back create a new motif.

The interior, however, is the major highlight of the update, receiving a glossy brown lime wood trim and the Parking Package, which offers a 360-degree camera view at low speeds, as standard. Catalana Beige and Bahia Brown leather are two new upholstery options for the all-new GLS. Options for trim include Manufactur Piano Lacquer Flowing Lines and High-Gloss Brown Linden Wood.
New display options for the MBUX infotainment system include three graphic styles—Classic, Sporty, and Discreet—as well as three modes—Navigation, Assistance, and Service. Additionally, it receives up to seven colour schemes that coordinate with the interior ambient lighting. The screen in the off-road mode displays the vehicle's tilt angles, compass, and the "transparent bonnet" camera view, which displays obstacles like big rocks or significant ruts.

2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS 63, Maybach GLS: What's New
With add-ons like an electric panoramic sunroof, adaptive high-beam headlights, a Burmester sound system, and heated cupholders as standard, the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63, the performance version of the GLS, now comes with an enhanced feature list. Adaptive dampers and the AMG performance exhaust system have also been added by Mercedes at no extra cost. Moreover, the roll stabilisation and air suspension systems' settings are changed by a fresh software update.
Coming to updates to the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, it now offers ambient lighting with a logo projection and two new paint options: Sodalite Blue Metallic and Manufaktur Alpine Grey Non-Metallic. It receives diamond-quilted seat upholstery with perforations. A set of 23-inch forged wheels is also added.
