The c-segment sedan market was revived when the Skoda Slavia made its debut in the Indian market last year. It was closely followed by the Volkswagen Virtus, whose subtle overall look won over the Indian audience. Additionally, the Honda City has recently undergone a few updates and now offers revised powertrain options. The feature list has also been refreshed. When it comes to the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, a generation change is long overdue, but sales are still strong. On the other hand, the 2023 Hyundai Verna, which was recently launched comes with several first-in-segment features. In this piece, we will compare the newly launched Verna facelift with one of its market rivals, the Skoda Slavia in terms of specs, price, features, and more to see how they fare against each other.

The new Hyundai Verna has dimensions of 4,535mm in length, 1,765mm in width, and 1,475mm in height, with a 2,670mm wheelbase. It is now larger than its predecessor in almost every way, including height. It is 95mm longer, 36mm wider, and has a 70mm longer wheelbase. It is not, however, by any means the biggest sedan in its class. The Verna is smaller than the Virtus, the Slavia, and the City. Since all other sedans are taller as well, the Verna is also the lowest slung. Its best-in-class wheelbase, which should result in a good interior space, gives it an advantage over its competitors. The new Verna is also wider than its predecessor, which was the class's narrowest sedan.
Coming to the dimensions of the Skoda Slavia, it has a length of 4,541mm, a width of 1,752mm, a height of 1,507mm, and a wheelbase of 2,651mm. The 2023 Verna boasts a boot capacity of 528 litres, whereas the Slavia's boot capacity stands at 521 litres.
