The Seoul-based carmaker Hyundai launched the refreshed i20 N Line in our market only a week ago, and they brought two variants – N6 and N8. The base N6 MT is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, while the top-spec N8 DCT carries a sticker price of Rs 12.32 lakh. Prices are ex-showroom. At this price point, the 2023 iteration of the i20 N Line gets minor cosmetic updates, a new transmission, as well as a host of new features. Since the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine was discontinued from the regular Hyundai i20, the mill is retained only for the performance-oriented i20 N Line but with new transmission pairings. The turbo-petrol engine generates 118bhp and 172Nm of peak torque. As for the transmission, the South Korean manufacturer has ditched the 6-speed iMT unit in favour of a new 6-speed manual gearbox. In addition to the 6-speed manual gearbox, the i20 N Line also comes mated to a 7-speed DCT unit, sending power to the front wheels. Compared to the pre-facelift model, the new version gets a stiffer suspension setup, and the disc brakes are mounted on all four wheels. Also available is a well-tuned, sportier exhaust note.
