With the launch of the new i20 N Line facelift today, which starts at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), Hyundai has widened its performance line-up in India. This all-new motorsport-inspired hatchback is less expensive than earlier, and even though the turbo-petrol engine is still there, new transmission pairings have been added to provide a more engaging experience while driving. Notably, to appeal to a wider customer base, the new i20 N Line is offered with both a manual and a DCT gearbox.

Commenting on the latest launch, Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, ‘The i20 brand across generations has consistently set the bar in the premium hatchback segment in the country. Sporty and breathtakingly stunning, the new Hyundai i20 N Line commands attention everywhere it goes with its WRC-inspired design. Prioritizing safety as a cornerstone, the new Hyundai i20 N Line now gets a host of safety features as standard such as 6 Airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), 3-Point Seatbelts, and seatbelt reminder for all occupants. The new Hyundai i20 N Line, with its exciting athletic design and playful details, will surely set you apart in a crowd of lookalikes and will resonate profoundly with the ambitions of the young Indian buyers who wish to leave an indelible mark.’

The 1-litre turbo-petrol engine that powers the updated Hyundai i20 N Line continues to produce 118bhp and 172Nm. The only available automatic transmission is still a 7-speed DCT, which is now available with both variants. Besides, the model receives modifications to its suspension and steering characteristics. It has a stiffer suspension system than the standard model, and disc brakes can be had on each of the four wheels. The exhaust tone has also been adjusted for a sportier note.
