Honda Cars India is gearing up to launch the much-awaited facelift model of the Honda City in India. According to the reports, the mid-size vehicle will get an array of new features. In select models, Honda India is anticipated to offer a hybrid powertrain. A while ago, this facelifted version was reportedly spied on Indian roads, covered in a thick camouflage. Even though the specifics were hardly evident, several improvements were speculated to be made in the rear profile. Now, the model is heading for its India launch by March 2023. Apart from bringing the City with a generation change in 2023, the carmaker is also planning to introduce two new SUVs in India sometime soon. Both of these SUVs will be constructed on the platform of the revised Honda Amaze. As for now, Honda is all set to bring the City facelift to India, let's quickly go through its anticipated pricing, features, and other information.
Interior & Exterior
The City facelift will likely get a new bumper, updated headlamps, and a revamped grille. There won't be many changes to the side profile, but there will reportedly be a new alloy wheel design for the facelifted model. The Honda City facelift's interior will be identical to the standard model, except for anticipated wireless charging and ventilated seats.
Mechanical Specifics
The Honda City facelift will reportedly get two powertrain options - a 1.5-litre petrol unit and a 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle petrol hybrid engine with two electric motors. The 1.5-litre petrol unit could produce 119bhp and 145Nm, whereas the 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle petrol hybrid engine is capable of generating 124bhp and 253Nm.
