The updated Glanza will get premium features like a 360-degree camera and a head-up display.
Toyota is now accepting bookings for the upcoming 2022 Glanza for a token sum of Rs. 11,000. A booking can be made at any Toyota dealership, or on the company’s website.
As we know, the Glanza is pretty much the Maruti Baleno, but with Toyota badging. However, the updated hatchback is expected to be a little more different from the new Baleno, with design elements like the front grille being different.
Under the bonnet, the Glanza will sport the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine which makes 88bhp and 113Nm in the Baleno. It will continue to use a 5-speed manual transmission. The automatic however is a new unit and this time around, the CVT is being replaced by an AMT unit.
As far as features go, there is a new 9-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The Glanza also gets 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera and a head-up display among other things. Toyota is also offering its own warranty, that is a 3 year/1,00,000kms warranty as standard, which can be extended up 5 years/2,20,000kms.
Once launched, the Toyota Glanza will go up against the newly launched Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20, the soon-to-be retired Volkswagen Polo and the Honda Jazz.
