The 2022 Ertiga facelift has been launched, with prices starting from ₹8.35 lakh for the base LXI MT Petrol variant and going all the way up to ₹12.79 lakh for the range-topping ZXI+ AT Petrol variant. In between, the Ertiga CNG range is priced from ₹10.44 lakh to ₹11.54 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Here's a look at all the major changes and updates:
Engine & Gearbox:
The Ertiga Facelift is powered by the brand's 1.5-litre K15C DualJet Smart Hybrid petrol engine. Yes, the Ertiga marks the debut of Maruti Suzuki's DualJet technology on the 1.5-litre motor. This tech was previously available only on the smaller 1.0- and 1.2-litre petrol engines. Producing 101.6bhp @ 6,000rpm and 136.8Nm of torque @ 4,400rpm, the new engine's key figures are slightly lower than those of the outgoing 1.5-litre unit. Available in both petrol and CNG (MT only) options, the 2022 Ertiga offers claimed fuel-efficiency figures of 20.51km/l (Petrol MT), 20.30km/l (Petrol AT) and 26.11km/kg (CNG).
While a five-speed manual gearbox is standard, the automatic variants now come equipped with a new six-speed torque converter automatic, replacing the ageing four-speeder.
New Features & Tech:
The Ertiga now offers some premium creature comforts like paddle shifters (with the automatic gearbox), a seven-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity), a TFT colour MID, connected car tech via Suzuki Connect, cruise control, parking camera, AC vents for all rows, parking camera, and more. The safety kit includes four airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Hill-hold Assist, ESP, and ISOFIX mounts.
Design Changes & other Visual Updates:
The 2022 Ertiga gets a new 'winged' chrome front grille and new machined dual-tone alloy wheels. At the back, there are not any major changes as such – just a chrome garnish has been added to the tailgate. Inside, the dashboard trim benefits from a new Metallic Teak-Wooden finish and the upholstery now features dual-tone seat fabric. There are two new exterior colours to choose from – Splendid Silver and Dignity Brown.
