The facelift Jeep Compass Night Eagle edition has been launched in the Australian market for the price of 39,950 Australian dollars which roughly converts to Rs 22.34 lakh (ex-showroom).
Jeep has introduced the ‘Night Eagle’ edition of the facelift Compass in the international market. This special edition of the Compass was a part of the line-up, however, it was discontinued when Jeep India pulled the plug on the pre-facelift model. So far, Jeep India has not introduced the Night Eagle edition with the new Compass. That being said, the odds of the 2022 Jeep Compass Night Eagle edition are very high – most likely by the end of this year.
The Night Eagle edition packs gloss black roof, mirror caps, grille, and black fog lamp surrounds. The badges on the SUV are also finished in black – excluding the ‘Night Eagle’ badge. The body cladding on the bumpers, wheel arches and rocker panels also get a black paint finish. The 18-inch wheels have been finished in black as well. The body colours on offer are White, Black, Grey, Grey Magnesio, Red, Green and Blue.
The cabin also features a black theme which includes a blacked-out dashboard with chrome inserts and piano black accents and black fabric seats with contrasting stitching.
In the Australian market, the new Compass Night Eagle is offered with a 2.4-litre petrol engine which puts out 172 bhp and 229Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. However, when launched in India, the Night Eagle Edition will be offered with the same engines as the India spec Jeep Compass. The engine choices will include a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel mill.
The Night Eagle edition will be based on the Limited variant of the Compass and the price could be roughly Rs 70,000-80,000 higher. Expect a price tag close to Rs 24.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
