For the model year 2021 (MY 21), Renault India has updated the Triber with creature comforts and new colour schemes. The updates have come at a marginal price hike of Rs 10,000 – 15,000 across variants.
The Renault Triber, a sub-4 meter MPV, made its debut in the Indian market in August 2019. The introductory price of the Renault Triber ranged from Rs 4.95 lakh up to Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the Triber was updated with an option of an automatic transmission last year, and this year the French carmaker has updated the car with new features and new dual-tone colour schemes.
The 2021 model gets a new brown colour, and the company also offers the option to have it in a dual-tone colour scheme. The turn indicators for the MY 21 have been moved from the aprons – it now is flush with the ORVMs. The Triber now also gets a dual-horn setup. For the creature comforts, the 2021 model gets steering mounted controls for infotainment and phone operation. The driver seat can also be adjusted for height in the updated model.
Mechanically, the Renault Triber continues to be offered with the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine. The power figure is rated at 71bhp at 6,250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard, but it can also be had with an AMT.
