Kia India has updated its two popular SUVs in the Indian market. The Seltos and the Sonet, both get updated features and the company has also reshuffled its feature list. Read the details below
The 2021 Kia Seltos and the Sonet SUVs both see an addition of a few features. Kia India has also re-shuffled the feature lists and convenience features are now available with the lower-spec Seltos and Sonet as well. Both the SUVs now get Kia India’s new logo on the fascia and the tail.

The 2021 Kia Seltos has an opening price of Rs 9.95 lakh ex-showroom. And Kia India now offers the 2021 model year (MY21) with 14 new changes and additions. One major highlight is the introduction of the iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) with the 1.5-litre petrol model (HTK+ iMT). The iMT essentially eliminates the clutch pedal in favor of reducing driving fatigue, however, still offers the engagement of a manual transmission.

Another key addition in the features list is the Smart Pure Air Purifier with ‘Virus and Bacteria’ Protection, although, the Seltos was offered with an integrated air-purifier, this is a more advanced version of the same. This is offered with HTX, HTX+, GTX(O), GTX+ variants.
HTK, HTK+ variants also get the 8-inch touch-operated infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The HTK+, HTX, HTX+ models now get a Smart-Key Remote Engine Start even with a manual variant.
Kia UVO system has been updated as well, and it gets features such as OTA Map updates, Voice Assist Sunroof Open/Close, Voice Assist Driver Window, and Voice Assist Defroster Control. The system can also operate AC direction and cabin air-recirculation via voice command.
HTX+ model gets the brown leatherette seats, while the GTX(O) model gets black and beige sports leatherette seats. Beige fabric seats are available with the HTK+ iMT model.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA), Hill Assist Control (HAC) was available with the GTX,GTX+ models. With the MY21 Seltos, Kia has made these features standard on the HTX, HTX+, GTX(O) as well. Sunroof and LED cabin light was offered with the HTX, HTX+, GTX, GTX+ models and Kia has now extended the HTK+ iMT, GTX(O) as well. Automatic climate control is standard with HTK+ iMT, HTX, HTX+, GTX(O), GTX+.
Kia India has also given out its sales figures and the Korean carmaker has registered a sale of 16,111 units in the month of April 2021. Kia India has sold over 2,50,000 units of vehicles since its debut in India in 2019.
