In its fourth-generation globally, the Kia Carnival has gone through a major design overhaul. Expect the MPV to be launched in the Korean market in Q3 - will be launched in India too but timeline unconfirmed
First exterior images of the all-new Kia Carnival have just been released ahead of its Korean debut in the third quarter. The Carnival is based on Kia's new design philosophy that made its debut on the Optima last year. Coming back to the MPV, it looks sharper and a lot more chic than its predecessor. Upfront, it gets an elegant diamond mesh grille and sleeker LED headlamps. A sharp shoulder line and sportier-looking diamond cut alloy wheels add a sense of beefiness to the Carnival's profile. The increased dimensions of the car are also a lot more evident from this angle. The tailgate too looks more chiseled and the connected LED taillamps make the car look wider.
Although Kia has not released any interior images as of now, the fourth-gen Carnival is sure to sport an all-new interior design as well. Just like the current-gen model, expect the new one to offer a range of seating configurations as well. It is also safe to expect that the car will be heavily loaded in terms of features like Kia's UVO connected car tech and more. As far as the engine goes, there has been no official confirmation from Kia as of now, but it is likely to be offered in both petrol and diesel options.
Kia has only just introduced the Carnival in India earlier this year at the Auto Expo 2020 in February. This fourth-generation model will make its Korean debut in Q3 this year. Expect it to make its way to India towards the end of 2021 or early 2022. As of now, the Carnival is priced at Rs 24.95 lakh (ex-showroom), the new-generation model is sure to demand a premium.
