Jaguar India has confirmed the news via its social media profiles. The 2021 F-PACE will also bring back the option of a diesel powertrain for the SUV.
Jaguar India has officially opened its order books for the 2021 F-PACE facelift that was revealed in September last year. Of course, being a facelift, the 2021 F-PACE does get some subtle yet effective cosmetic changes. However, the most crucial changes have been made to the car's interior, which we'll get to in a bit.
The 2021 F-PACE now sports a much more dynamic face, courtesy of new & slimmer LED headlamps with the 'Double J' LED DRLs. The redesigned front fascia also benefits from a more elegant grille design as well as a reprofiled bumper and to top it all off, a new bonnet design further brings out the macho appeal of the SUV. While the sides have not been tinkered with, the back gains a set of new F-TYPE-inspired taillamps. Like the front, the rear bumper has also been redesigned to make way for a more aggressive exhaust tip design and diffuser insert.
Inside, a new, centrally-mounted 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen serves as the command centre for the new Pivi Pro infotainment system. Also new are the steering wheel, door casings, door handles, seats as well as the drive selector, which is now a sort of a cube-shaped shifter with ‘cricket ball stitching on top, instead of the famed Rotary Dial that rises out of the centre console. Speaking of which, the centre console has been redesigned too, which now sweeps up to the instrument panel. The instrument cluster is now a new 12.3-inch HD Interactive Driver Display.
As the F-PACE has been & will continue to be sold in India via the CKD route, it will be interesting to see just how many of these updated features will be brought with the India-spec model. In the international markets, the 2021 F-PACE has been on sale with Jaguar's latest 2.0-litre four-cylinder & 3.0-litre inline-six Ingenium petrol & diesel engines (most of which are now electrified via mild-hybrid assistance), along with the new P400e plug-in hybrid version.
While we eagerly wait for the prices of the 2021 F-PACE facelift, Jaguar India has already confirmed that the facelift model will be launched with both 2.0-litre petrol & diesel Ingenium engine options. So, it looks like the F-PACE will miss out on the new & larger-capacity 3.0-litre Ingenium diesel units that are being offered with the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport & the Defender. Also, expect the 2021 F-PACE to arrive exclusively in the R-Dynamic S trim.
