The 2021 Bentayga V8 still dismisses the 100km/h mark in 4.5 seconds, although with a lot more panache and style.
The 2021 Bentley Bentyaga was revealed in its V8 guise last year in July, and within 12 months, the updated super-luxury SUV has reached our shores. The new Bentayga is priced at ₹4.10 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is now available to order in Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.
Although a quick look at the updated Bentayga is not enough to notice the changes, a thorough inspection will tell you that the updates are plenty and significant. At the front, new Matrix LED headlamps, an updated matrix grille, and a redesigned bumper with larger air intakes & redesigned foglamp housings bring the 2021 Bentayga's design in line with the British marque's new design philosophy.
The redesigned 22-inch wheels, new oval taillights and exhaust tips, a new full-width boot lid and a repositioned license plate holder, which is now set in the modified bumper, further add to the list of exterior changes. Although the silhouette of the updated car remains the same, the 2021 model gets a 20mm wider rear track and 100mm more rear legroom.
The interior has been refreshed more or less completely. New seats, new door trims, and a new steering wheel, which sits next to a new centre fascia headline the key interior changes. In terms of tech, the 2021 Bentayga benefits from an all-new infotainment system, which gets a larger 10.9-inch HD touchscreen command centre. The new system brings with it wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, along with a new navigation system.
The list of standard features goes on with a few more additions such as wireless phone charging, an embedded eSIM for My Bentley in-car connected features, and new USB Type-C ports.
The updated Bentayga continues to be powered by the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as the old model, which develops an unchanged 542bhp and 770Nm of torque. The power is sent to all four wheels (permanent AWD) via a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox.
