As we mentioned already, the 2020 Kicks will come with two engine options – a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.3-litre turbo petrol. The former is the same motor that did duty in the outgoing Kicks, but has now been updated to meet the BS6 emission norms. It continues to develop 105bhp and 142Nm. This engine is only available in the lower-spec XL and XV trims, and only comes paired with a 5-speed manual. The 1.3-litre turbo petrol is new for the Kicks and has been developed by Daimler. Producing 153bhp and 254Nm, this engine is the most powerful one in its class of cars. This engine will be offered in 5 variants and will come with a manual transmission as well as a CVT option.
In terms of exterior design, the 2020 Kicks looks identical to the model it replaces. The U-shaped front grille, the pulled back headlamps, the diamond-cut allow wheels and the wide taillights have all been carried forward. As before, the 2020 Kicks continues to be heavily loaded in the features department. Top-spec models get 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, idle start-stop function, climate control, cornering fog lamps, shark fin antenna, and more.
The 2020 Nissan Kicks will continue to compete against the likes of the newly launched Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and the likes.
