Hyundai has also officially opened the bookings for the new Creta at ₹25,000.
Those following the updates on the 2020 Hyundai Creta will clearly remember that Hyundai did not reveal the car's interior at the time of its debut at the Auto Expo 2020. However, now, the brand's website has clear images of what the interior of the new Creta will look like. At the same time, Hyundai has also officially opened the bookings for the car, both online and at its dealerships, for an amount of ₹25,000.
The new Creta gets a black and beige interior theme that's been carried over from the seat and door upholstery to the dashboard. The new steering wheel seems to have been borrowed from the latest international-spec Sonata sedan. Judging by the 7.0-inch fully-digital instrument cluster and the automatic gearshift, we think the model shown here is the top-spec model.
In terms of features, expect the new Creta to be loaded with a premium kit, with features like paddle-shift (automatic variants), a panoramic sunroof, remote engine start (manual variants, thanks to Hyundai's BlueLink connected car features), an air purifier, ambient lighting, a Bose sound system, ventilated seats, rear disc brakes, and multiple user modes for the engine (Comfort, Eco, and Sport), as well as traction control (mud, snow, and sand). Here's a glimpse of all the features the 2020 Hyundai Creta will offer:
As we reported earlier, the new 2020 Creta will borrow its powertrain options from the Kia Seltos. This means there will be a 1.4-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol unit (7DCT gearbox option only) on offer along with a 1.5-litre MPi naturally-aspirated petrol unit (available with either a 6MT or 6CVT). The diesel variants will be offered with a single option of a 1.5-litre turbocharged U2 motor (6MT or 6AT).
Engine | Capacity | Power | Torque | Transmission |
1.5 MPi Petrol | 1,497cc | 113bhp | 144Nm | 6MT/6CVT |
1.5 U2 Diesel | 1,493cc | 113bhp | 250Nm | 6MT/6AT |
1.4 Kappa Turbo GDi Petrol | 1,353cc | 138bhp | 242Nm | 7DCT |
Unlike the outgoing version of the Creta that was available in six variants (the E+, EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Executive), the 2020 Creta will go on sale in five variants – the E, EX, S, SX, and SX(O).
