Will feature noticeable changes on the outside as well as to the interior
Isuzu replaced the aging MU-7 SUV in India with the MU-X last year in May. That being said, in the international market, the refreshed version was introduced soon after. After a long wait, Isuzu finally seems ready to bring the updated MU-X to Indian shores. The Japanese carmaker will bring in the full-sized SUV on 16th October.
The 2019 iteration of the MU-X will not come fitted with projector headlamps and LED DRLs at the front. In line with the rest of the model range, the MU-X too will now get a twin-slat grille up front and a redesigned front bumper. The circular fog lamps placed on the bumper get chrome accents. In profile, the lines remain more or less unchanged with the exception of the newly designed alloy wheels. Moving on to the back, it gets a revised taillight design, larger roof-mounted spoiler and a new bumper. Expect a few changes to the interior and feature list too.
Since it’s a facelift, the MU-X will continue with the same 3.0-litre diesel motor that develops 174bhp and 380Nm. This engine comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Just like the model on sale currently, the facelift too will be offered in the 4x2 and 4x4 options. The Isuzu MU-X will continue to be placed alongside big guns like the Ford Endeavour, the Toyota Fortuner and the soon to be launched Mahindra Rexton.
