The 2019 Elantra facelift arrives with a BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre petrol motor & Hyundai's BlueLink connectivity suite.
With the arrival of newer, advanced & arguably sharper-looking rivals in the executive sedan segment over the past few months, Hyundai has rolled out a mid-cycle facelift of its executive sedan offering, the Elantra. Launched at a starting price of ₹15.89 lakh, the 2019 Elantra facelift will be sold in three variants – S, SX & SX(O) – of which, SX will be available with either a 6MT or 6AT option. Further, the 2019 Elantra will be available with the same Nu 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol motor as before. However, the motor is now BS-VI compliant but the power & torque figures remain unchanged, at 150bhp & 192Nm, respectively. As of now, this is the only engine option available to customers as the earlier U2 1.6-litre diesel has been discontinued. Even with the BS-VI upgrade, the fuel-efficiency figure remains unaltered at 14.6 km/l (ARAI-certified).
As part of the facelift, the 2019 Elantra receives plenty of exterior changes ranging from new & reshaped headlights (LED units), triangular fog lamp inserts, the signature 'cascading' Hyundai grille to the new alloy wheels, two-part taillamps & bold 'Elantra' lettering sprawled across the boot lid. While the rear profile becomes unmistakably unique thanks to the new lettering, the front fascia, with the dominant triangular design theme, has a more 'in your face' appeal as compared to the outgoing car.
Inside, gone is the previous car's all-black interior theme for a conventional two-tone black & beige combination. In terms of features, the 2019 Elantra receives Hyundai's famed BlueLink connectivity suite and gets a new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports both Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity. The list of additional goodies includes a premium 8-speaker Infinity audio system, wireless phone charging & a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Coming to the ownership experience, the 2019 Elantra is up for grabs with a standard 3-Year/Unlimited kilometre warranty pack, inclusive of roadside assistance (for the same time period) and free maintenance (3-Years/30,000km). Hyundai is also offering a 3-year BlueLink subscription with every purchase of the 2019 Elantra.

S | ₹ 15.89 lakh |
