2019 BMW 7-Series facelift launched in India at ₹ 1.22 crore

The facelifted BMW 7-Series has arrived on our shores with a rather long variant line-up, featuring three diesel derivatives, two petrol options and, for the first time, a petrol-hybrid version as well.

The facelifted BMW 7-Series has arrived on our shores with a rather long variant line-up, featuring three diesel derivatives, two petrol options and, for the first time, a plug-in petrol-hybrid version as well.

The BMW 7-Series has been a popular and much-respected choice of wheels among Indian luxury car buyers. With the current facelifted model now on sale in India, BMW is set to take the luxury and comfort quotient of its flagship luxury sedan to the next level. The 2019 BMW 7-Series has been launched in India with three diesel derivatives – 730Ld Design Pure Excellence (DPE), 730Ld DPE Signature & 730Ld M Sport – two petrol versions – 740Li DPE Signature & M760Li xDrive – along with the 745Le xDrive petrol-hybrid, which is making its debut in India. The entry-level 730Ld DPE has been priced at ₹1.22 crore, while the range-topping M760Li xDrive carries an eye-watering price tag of ₹2.42 crore. The hybrid 745Le xDrive has been launched at ₹1.65 crore. (All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).

2019 BMW 7 Series facelift launched in India

The three diesel derivatives are powered by BMW's 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo straight-six motor, which produces 261bhp & 620Nm of torque. While the 730Ld DPE & DPE Signature send power to the rear wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox, the 730Ld M Sport gets the 'Sport' version of the same 8-speed gearbox. However, all three variants get additional drive tech like adaptive air suspension, 6 driving modes (COMFORT, COMFORT+, SPORT, SPORT+, ECO PRO & ADAPTIVE), adaptive cruise control & Servotronic steering assist as standard.

BMW 745Le Front Dynamic

While the 730Ld M Sport gets a lot of M-specific parts & features as part of the M Package, there's a bit of difference between the 730Ld DPE & DPE Signature in terms of their feature offerings. Over 730Ld DPE (lower-spec), the 730Ld DPE Signature offers Ventilated (cooled & heated) front & rear seats, laminated glass & windscreen, lumbar support on the front passenger seat, Remote Control Parking, Nappa Leather upholstery & 19-inch wheels (DPE gets 18-inch wheels as standard).

BMW 745Le Rear Dynamic

Coming to the petrol-powered variants, the 740Li DPE Signature is powered by a 2,998cc TwinPower Turbo unit, which sends 335bhp & 450Nm of torque to the rear wheels. Meanwhile, those who can manage to get their hands on the M760Li xDrive will get to enjoy BMW's massive 6,592cc M Performance TwinPower Turbo V12, which makes 601bhp & 850Nm of torque.

BMW 745Le Interior

Making its debut here, the 745Le xDrive hybrid is powered by the same motor as the 740Li. However, the engine produces 282bhp & 450Nm of torque in the hybrid variant. Assisting the ICE is a 111bhp eDrive motor, which is capable of producing 265Nm of torque on its own. Together, the petrol-electric powertrain puts out 389bhp & 600Nm of torque.
