The 2018 Toyota Camry will be officially unveiled at the 2017 North American International Auto Show
Toyota has released a teaser image of the new 2018 Camry and by the looks of it, it will bring with it the winds of change. The Toyota Camry is about to enter its eighth generation when it is unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2017.
The Camry name has been around in the automotive world for a while now, and during this time it has become synonymous with reliability, safety and supreme build quality. One thing that it hasn’t been known for is its aesthetic appeal but that might just change with this 8th generation Camry. If the teaser image is anything to go by, expect the new Camry to be edgy and modern in terms of its design.
The image shows a sharp LED taillight design with clear lens turn indicators. There is also a vertical vent going south from the edge of the taillamp but it could possibly be a faux unit. Interestingly, the overall taillight design is reminiscent of the recently unveiled Lexus LC 500h. Aside from the taillights, we absolutely loved the sharp lines all across – the character line, on the C-pillar the stubby spoiler, each adding to the overall aesthetic appeal. More importantly, it does not look like a traditional sedan; in fact, it borders towards a five-door hatch much like the Honda Civic hatchback.
Although there are no details about the new 2018 Toyota Camry as yet, the fact that it might be a good-looking car, is surely a welcome change. More details about the new Toyota Camry will emerge when it is officially unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show next month.
