Volvo’s upcoming station wagon, the Volvo V90's images have been leaked ahead of its global launch.

The Volvo V90 estate based the S90 sedan, has been leaked online ahead of its February 18th global launch date.

The V90 is the estate version of the recently launched S90 luxury sedan which is confirmed to be launched in India in 2016. The estate is based on the same Scalable Product Architecture platform as the S90 and the XC90 SUV. There is no news if the V90 will be launched in India as of now, if at all Volvo decides to offer the estate in the Indian market, it will not be before 2017.

Volvo claims the V90 will bring with it, 60 years of Volvo estate building heritage. Volvo’s first estate that got the ball rolling was the Volvo Duett from 1953. Volvo has sold more than 6 million estates worldwide, representing around a third of the total number of Volvos sold since the company’s foundation in 1927.

The engines found in the S90 will also power the V90 estate. These engines include the petrol T5 2-litre, 4-cylinder turbo, the T6 2-litre, 4-cylinder turbo & supercharged, and the T8 2-litre, 4-cylinder turbo and supercharged hybrid. The Diesel offerings will include the D4 and D5 twin turbo charged 2-litre, 4-cylinder engines. Power outputs of the petrol engines will range from around 254bhp to 320bhp. As for the diesel engines, 190bhp to 225bhp will be available in respects to their specific engines. Both petrol and diesel engines will be mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
