The latest edition of the Volkswagen Vento was revealed by the German carmaker and will be launched in the Indian market very shortly.
Here is another update to the Volkswagen Vento in quick succession. The new Vento was revealed by its German parent and the new car is expected to take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City and the Hyundai Verna 4S.
The new facelifted Vento looks more visually appealing than its previous avatar. A new 3-slat chrome grille, new bumper and new foglamps with inbuilt cornering lights will sit proudly on the new Vento making it look more elegant yet sporty. The hood has been elongated a little and has been given accented crease lines with more aerodynamic character. Other new features include things like cruise control, cooling glove box, auto folding mirrors, a dead-pedal and an external boot release. The flat-bottomed steering wheel and the 15-inch alloys have been retained from the previous facelift version.
The power units of the car have been retained in the same manner as they existed before – a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 103bhp, a 1.6-litre petrol mill delivering 104bhp, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine making 103.2bhp of power. As updated in the last phase, the power will be delivered to the rear wheels using either a five-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
By launching the second facelifted version of the Vento in a very quick succession Volkswagen has hinted that it’s not taking the competition, being offered by the giants like Ciaz, Verna and City, lightly and is trying to keep up pace with others.
