MG India has announced that the company will provide 100 units of the Hector to assist in the safe travel of medical staff, government officials, and the police, who are working to fight the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Amongst its other activities to assist the nation against the COVID-19 pandemic, MG Motor India has announced its latest initiative to contribute to community service across the country for coronavirus warriors by providing 100 units of the Hector SUV to the police, doctors, medical staff, and government officials.
These 100 MG Hectors have been provided free of cost along with drivers and fuel to provide safe travel to key stakeholders in India’s attempt to fight the coronavirus as the government intensifies its fight against the global pandemic. The cars will be supplied via MG’s nationwide dealer network in compliance with the rules and regulations laid down by local governments. The cars will be sanitised via MG’s recently introduced ‘MG Disinfect and Deliver’ programme. The 100 Hectors will continue to serve the nation until the end of May 2020.
This initiative follows a similar initiative by MG Motor UK to provide 100 MG ZS EVs to the country’s National Health Service throughout the United Kingdom to fight COVID-19 Pandemic.
Other initiatives undertaken by MG in India to assist in the fight against COVID-19 in India include donation and distribution of ventilators, health and hygiene kits, PPE kits, surgical masks, gloves, sanitizers, sanitizer sprayers, and food and ration kits to combat the coronavirus threat.
