Yamaha has taken the wraps off the X Force 155 in Japan. The scooter comes with the same underpinnings and powertrain as those of the Aerox 155 but is more practical.
Yamaha has unveiled the new X Force 155 for the Japanese market. The scooter is primarily based on the same platform as the Aerox 155, which is available in the Indian market.
The X Force 155 gets a distinguished design, with elements such as an aggressive front apron, split headlights, and a smoked windscreen. The turn indicators are placed vertically and are neatly integrated at the edges of the apron.
On the side, unlike the Yamaha Aerox 155, which sports a central tunnel, the X Force gets a flat floorboard. The scooter also gets a seat that is relatively flatter than the Aerox.
At the back, the scooter has a neat and compact tail with an LED taillight strip, which seems proportionate with the rest of the design. The scooter comes in an array of paint options, which go very well with its design.
The scooter gets a long list of features, including an LCD with Bluetooth connectivity, SMS & call notifications, and a USB port. The scooter also gets traction control, just like the Yamaha R15.
The Yamaha X Force 155 is powered by the same engine that powers the Aerox 155 and the R15 – a 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which delivers 15hp at 8,000rpm and 14Nm at 6,5000rpm. Like the Aerox, this one also gets Variable Valve Actuation.
