In view of the approaching festivities, Yamaha has introduced new 'Dark Night' colour scheme on the FZ-S Fi, Saluto RX and Cygnus Ray ZR.
Yamaha has introduced a new ‘Dark Night’ paint scheme for the FZ-S Fi, Saluto RZ and Cygnus Ray ZR (disc variant). As the name suggests, all three two-wheelers are now available with a dark matte black colour option along with some chrome bits. Yamaha is charging a premium of just over a thousand rupees for these variants in comparison to the regular versions. With the new colour option, the FZ-S Fi will cost Rs 84,012, the Yamaha Saluto RX Rs 48,721 and the Cygnus Ray ZR Rs 56,898. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
There are no mechanical revisions on any of the three models. The FZ-S Fi uses a 149cc single-cylinder engine that develops 12.9bhp and 12.8Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The Saluto RX is powered by a 110cc single-cylinder engine that is rated at for 7bhp and develops 8.5Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a four-speed transmission. The Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR, on the other hand, is propelled by a 113cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 7bhp and 8.1Nm of torque. It's mated to a CVT automatic.
Yamaha says the current set of updates will help push sales of these products, especially considering the fact the festive season is around. Apart from these three, Yamaha recently launched the Fazer 25 – a fully-faired motorcycle based on the company’s street naked, Yamaha FZ25 – just a week ago. The manufacturer is also expected to launch the BS-IV variant of the Yamaha R3 before the festive season.
