The brand-new Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition of the Aerox 155 scooter has been launched in India. With the rollout of this special edition, Yamaha has enhanced the appeal of its Aerox scooter. The model comes with an ex-showroom starting price tag of Rs 1.48 lakh. This represents a marginal increase over the standard model, which is currently on sale for Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom). While the scooter's mechanical components are unaltered, it has undergone significant cosmetic enhancements, including the stylish Monster Energy MotoGP livery. For those who are unaware, Yamaha previously launched the MotoGP-inspired, comparable special editions of models like the R15M, the MT-15, and the Ray ZR 125. Yamaha Aerox 155 MotoGP Edition: Styling and Features
This Aerox 155 special edition model has a MotoGP-inspired paint job with the Monster Energy logo and branding prominently displayed on its body. A number of colour options are available for the Aerox 155 in addition to the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition, such as Metallic Black, Racing Blue, Grey Vermillion, and Silver. Furthermore, the Aerox 155 now has a new Class D Headlight that enhances visibility and light distribution for safer riding both during low visibility conditions. Besides this, the scooter continues to come equipped with standard features like Bluetooth connectivity and traction control.
Yamaha Aerox 155 MotoGP Edition: Mechanical Details
Regarding the mechanical components, the 155cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC engine that powers the standard Aerox continues to churn out a maximum power output of 14.8bhp and 13.9Nm of peak torque. The unit is mated to a CVT transmission and comes with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). In April this year, Yamaha launched the Aerox 155 with OBD-2 compliance; as of right now, the scooter complies with E20 fuel regulations as well.
Yamaha's Performance at MotoGP Bharat GP
The newly released MotoGP version of the Aerox 155 follows Yamaha's outstanding performance at the recently concluded inaugural Bharat GP held at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. Fabio Quartararo, the 2021 riders' champion, returned to the podium at the Bharat GP, finishing third behind Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin. The first-ever Bharat GP took place from September 22 to 24. During the MotoGP weekend, the Aerox 155 manufacturer also built up a pavilion at the Buddha International Circuit. Moreover, the firm will further expand its lineup in the coming months with the introduction of the R3 and the MT-03 motorcycles, both of which were on exhibit during the event.

Yamaha India Lineup
The current Yamaha India product line costs between Rs 79,600 and Rs 1.97 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. The two-wheeler manufacturer sells a total of seven motorcycles and three scooters in our domestic market. The Yamaha MT 15, R15 V4, R15S, FZS-FI V3, FZ-FI V3, FZ-X, FZS-FI V4, FZ 25, and the FZS 25 constitute the maker's bike range, whereas its scooter lineup comprises models like the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Aerox 155, and the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid.
