The TVS Apache RR310 is most likely to receive a mechanical update for the model year 2021. The update could only increase its value-for-money proposition. Read the following details for more information
TVS Motors has sent an invite for a track experience of the 2021 Apache RR310 that is scheduled for April 7, 2021. The invite highlights the suspension components of the motorcycle which makes us believe that the 2021 TVS Apache RR310 is soon to get an update. We speculate that for the model year 2021 TVS has updated the Apache RR310 with full-adjustable suspension units on either end of the motorcycle. A similar update that we’ve seen on the smaller TVS Apache RTR 200 4V last year. If the speculations hold true, the TVS Apache RR310 could be the only motorcycle to offer these uprated cycle parts (adjustable suspension components) in the segment. Its key rivals, KTM RC390, and the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 300 miss out on fully adjustable front suspension - and are offered with a pre-load adjusting rear-monoshock.
Other than the updated cycle parts, no other mechanical changes are expected on the motorcycle. The engine on offer will be the same 312.3cc single-cylinder unit that will continue to churn out 33.5 bhp at 9,700 rpm and 27.3 Nm at 7,700rpm. The motorcycle will continue to be equipped with riding modes that alter power and torque output. The gearbox will be the same 6-speed unit with a slipper-clutch.
The uprated mechanicals could also bump up the price marginally, however, we shall find out all the details on April 7. Currently, the TVS Apache RR310 retails for Rs 2.50 lakh ex-showroom.
